As was true in Sarasota’s past, life slows down when it’s hot in Sarasota. The Historical Society’s hours may be shortened, and our meetings and discussions take a little siesta. But historic preservation and curation and conservation go on year-round, and the welcome you’ll get from us is just as warm!
Our facilities are available for rental year-round. And of course, your membership starts the moment you join us, even if it’s 90 degrees in the shade (and it’s always cooler under the trees surrounding the Bidwell-Wood House!)
