What’s Happening Now

We’ve got a great season in Sarasota County this year, and hope you’ll join us for talks, events and our fabled Conversations at the Crocker every second Tuesday evening at 7pm from October to April, the popular panel and audience discussion of issues facing our community both past and present… and of course, we touch on the future as well!

Some of our events and programs require reservations. Call our Site Manager, Linda Garcia, at 941-364-9076 Mon-Fri 10am to 2pm to charge your admission, or email hsosc1@gmail.com. Or come by and say howdy and reserve your spots in person!

Of course, our volunteer tasks concerning historic preservation and curation and conservation go on year-round, and we’re always pleased to have you here enjoying, exploring, and learning, whether it’s our historical buildings, our Florida-friendly gardens, our classes or our local arts, crafts and books in our Gift Shop. Bring a picnic and enjoy the shady coolness of Pioneer Park!

Our facilities are available for rental year-round. And of course, your membership helps us preserve Sarasota’s past, so we’d love to have you join us at the individual, family, or corporate levels.

We’d love it if you’d like to receive our very occasional newsletters via email. Rest assured, we do not over-send, nor do we share our list with others. But we DO let you know what’s happening, history-wise, in Sarasota County!
